Katie Mazenko joined the Maury community in 2022. Ms. Mazenko grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and has lived in DC since 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a Master’s degree in Reading Education from Vanderbilt University. Ms. Mazenko began her career teaching Kindergarten in Tulsa, OK, and has taught first and second grade in Washington, D.C. She is dedicated to cultivating a joyful, supportive classroom community. Ms. Mazenko is a voracious reader, music-lover, and enjoys cheering on Philly sports teams. She can often be spotted out and about on the Hill with her husband and their toddler – if you see us, say hi!
