It’s time for the famous Maury Elementary Yard Sale! It takes place Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Maury Elementary School (1250 Constitution Ave. NE).
Most items are $1 to $10! Come for legendary bargains on clothing, baby gear, bikes, strollers, scooters, games, toys, and books, all at amazing prices.
Don’t forget to visit the Couture Corner featuring new or lightly worn high-end clothing and accessories for women and kids. Stop by the bake sale for coffee, drinks, hot dogs, snacks and little bites.

Drop off your donations on the way to Family Fitness Night on Thursday 9/26. We’ll be there all evening collecting and sorting donations.
Maury Artists
Maury Artists D’Angela Williams and Shaaren Pine will have tables at the Yard Sale, donating a portion of their proceeds to benefit Maury. Ms. Williams will sell her jewelry and Ms. Pine will do henna. Look for them next to the Couture Corner!
Hill Family Bike Ride
Help us pack after the sale (2:00pm-4:00pm), then join the Hill Family Bike Ride, starting in the Maury parking lot.
Donation Guidelines
Drop your donations at Maury’s Constitution Ave entrance on Thursday Sept. 26 (3:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and Friday Sept. 27 (3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
Not sure what to donate? Check out the list below:

- Clothing, shoes, accessories
- Baby and kid gear (booster seats, potties, etc.)
- Halloween costumes (these are our top sellers!)
- Toys and games
- Sports gear
- Household items
- Wheels (bicycles, scooters, strollers)
- Items for the Couture Corner (your fancy stuff!)
- Boxes, shopping bags, and packing materials are a huge help too!
Please NO:

- Books (new this year; consider Turning the Page, the Northeast Library, or a future 5th grade used book sale instead)
- Furniture or large appliances (nothing that requires two people to carry)
- Soiled or broken items, open toiletries or cosmetics. We ask that you use your judgement if something isn’t in good enough shape to offer to a friend, please don’t bring it to us.
If possible, please pre-sort your items and bundle up any items with multiple pieces. We appreciate all the help we can get!
Shop on Saturday September 28
Shop the sale, have a treat from the bake sale, and enjoy time with the Maury community on Saturday, September 28, 9:00am-2:00pm. Cash, credit, Venmo, and Paypal accepted.
All proceeds go to support the Maury PTA. These funds, combined with monies raised through a variety of PTA fundraising activities, help pay for Teacher’s aides, literacy programs, funds for classrooms/supplies, resource materials, playground and office equipment and special school-wide events and programs.
