Lindsey Jones-Renaud joined Maury in 2026 as the School Librarian and is excited to share her love of reading, research, and information literacy with the Maury community. Ms. Jones-Renaud has a Master of Library Science (MLS) from the University of Central Missouri and a Master of Arts in Arab Studies from Georgetown University. Prior to becoming a librarian, Lindsey worked in international development and human rights, which took her around the world to over 20 countries.
Originally from North Carolina, Ms. Jones-Renaud has lived in Washington DC since 2004 and in the Maury neighborhood since 2012. She is active in DC community groups like Decoding Dyslexia DC and the Rosedale Library Friends group where she serves as Vice President. She has also volunteered at the Eliot Hine Middle School Library and serves on the Sister Libraries Committee on the American Library Association’s International Relations Roundtable. She is a mom of two children and enjoys reading and listening to books of all types, making zines, gardening, and cheering for the Washington Spirit, Washington Mystics, and NC State Wolfpack. The second part of her last name is pronounced “rih-NOH” but you can also call her Ms. J.R.
