Jo Antonette Heitstuman is a DCPS Speech-Language Pathologist whose work assignment includes Maury Elementary. She started working with Maury students in 2019.
Ms. Heitstuman’s father was in the military. So she grew up moving often, but spent the most time in California and Japan. She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, and her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA. Ms. Heitstuman worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and private practices in California, New Mexico, and Virginia before moving to Washington DC.
Outside of her work with DCPS, Ms. Heitstuman enjoys traveling, baking, and hiking.
