Mike Schuster is the Health and Physical Education teacher at Maury Elementary School, joining the Maury community in 2023. Originally from Falls Church, Virginia, Mr. Schuster earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond before completing a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Mr. Schuster is passionate about helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity, teamwork, healthy habits, and good sportsmanship. He strives to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and have fun while staying active.
Outside of school, Mr. Schuster enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife, attending live music concerts, hiking, and grilling for family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan who enjoys exploring new places, trying local restaurants, and spending time outdoors whenever he can.
Mr. Schuster looks forward to another great year of helping Maury students build confidence, stay active, and develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
