Alexandra McAuliffe joins Maury as a fourth-grade reading and writing teacher in the 2024-2025 school year. She brings nearly 10 years of experience working with students and families from the cities of Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington, DC.
Originally from Connecticut, Mrs. McAuliffe earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Latin American Studies from the College of William and Mary. She then followed in the footsteps of her mother and sister and went into education, where she has taught 4th and 5th grade. In addition to teaching, she managed and delivered play-based, health education programming for elementary and middle schoolers for five years.
Mrs. McAuliffe lives in Hill East with her husband. In her spare time, she loves reading, running, exploring the city, and baking treats to satisfy her sweet tooth!
