Shanna Willams-Carr teaches Grade 3 Math. She began her career at Maury as a Math Resource Teacher. Before joining Maury, she spent ten years at Smothers Elementary School as a classroom teacher and an instructional coach. Mrs. Carr loves technology and all that it can do to enhance the education of children!
Mrs. Carr grew up in the Bronx and moved to the D.C. area to attend University of Maryland at College Park. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education degree in Teacher Leadership with an emphasis in Mathematics Education from the University of Maryland.
In her spare time, Mrs. Carr loves to go the beach, hike and spend time with her two girls.
