Choir and Orff Ensemble are back! These groups are an exciting way to showcase the musical talent we have at Maury. 3rd-5th grade students are eligible to join either (or both) group(s)!
Love to sing? Join the Maury Choir! Students in Choir will have the opportunity to sing pieces from a variety of cultures and time periods.
Students will enhance their knowledge of vocal techniques through the a Are instruments more your thing? Join the Orff Ensemble! Students will make music through speech, movement, body percussion, and the full gamut of percussion instruments Maury has to offer. Guiros, drums, xylophones and more will be featured, both composed and improvised.
- Orff Ensemble rehearsals will be Monday and Wednesday 8-8:30 am.
- Choir rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday 8-8:30 am.
Rehearsals begin Monday, October 3. Both ensembles will perform in the Winter Showcase Thursday, December 15.
