Patrick Koontz (aka “Mr. Patrick”) has been the Operations Manager at Maury since 2016. He has a unique blend of skills that have benefited the school’s operation.
Mr. Patrick grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland, and graduated from Towson University. His last corporate position was at Fannie Mae where he advanced through the ranks to a director-level position in Operations. He managed a multi-million-dollar budget, worked with everyone from small mortgage lenders to major players on Wall Street, and had responsibility for settling a billion-dollar book of business monthly. After becoming a parent in the D.C. foster care system for several years, he shifted his career focus and went on to earn a Master of Social Work degree from Howard University in 2018.
He is a proud parent of two current, and two former, Maury Cougars.
