Coin wars have started in the Maury office! This is the annual contest between classes to see which class can amass the largest amount of cash in coins. Collected funds are used to finance Teacher Appreciation Week.
Some changes:
1. ALL coins, regardless of color, metal or denomination count toward the total (versus just pennies). Paper bills and checks will count AGAINST class totals.
2. There are TWO counts (and two chances to win). There will be midpoint coin count and a final count at the end of the two weeks. You won’t know when the midpoint counts will happen, so keep the coins rolling in.
3. Midpoint and final counts will be posted in the lobby and on the listserv.
4. Classroom winners for the midpoint counts will get a uniform free day. The classroom with the highest total at the end of the two weeks will win an ice cream party.
The contest runs Monday, April 20 through Friday, May 1st.
