All proceeds from these t-shirt sales go to support the Maury PTA. These funds, combined with monies raised through a variety of PTA fundraising activities, help pay for Teacher’s aides, literacy programs, funds for classrooms/supplies, resource materials, playground and office equipment and special school-wide events and programs.

Why are you doing a Customink fundraiser? Unlike our usual method of year-round t-shirt sales, Customink has a fundraising function that allows us to sell a variety of items at a greater profit per piece with no initial financial outlay from the PTA. We just have to sell more than the given minimum to profit.
How long does the sale run? The sale runs for two weeks, from Wednesday, Nov. 10 to Wednesday, Nov. 24.
When will my t-shirt be delivered? T-shirts take 12 to 17 days to be printed and delivered. If you are willing to pay for individual delivery, you can opt to have your items sent to your door. Otherwise, they will be delivered to the school. We will host a pick-up event prior to the December break, likely the week of Dec. 13.
Why can’t I select my child’s size? There are some COVID-related supply chain problems that limit the availability of sizes – this will affect your selection in one or two items and affected our selection of items for the campaign overall. For instance, there were no youth sizes available in any brand of navy crewneck sweatshirts. So, we couldn’t offer it.
How did you choose the items and colors? We took a survey and chose the items and colors that came back with the most interest that could fit within the parameters of a Customink fundraiser. Navy was by far the winner.
Why no beanies, hats or branded dresses? The logos must be the same size for all items included in the same campaign. We have formatted the logo to be the largest that fits properly on all youth sizes through adult sizes. But it’s too large to put on some items we were interested in –i.e. youth hoodies. (The print space above the pocket in a youth hoodie only permits a 5″ tall design, which is too small a logo for an XL men’s t-shirt, for example.).
How come these things are so expensive? Each item includes the cost of the item plus the cost of printing our logo. Men’s t-shirts are the cheapest; women’s items are more expensive, and a zipper in a hoodie is pricy.
On top of that, the color version of the Maury logo contains 6 different colors, requiring 6 different screens for printing. That means printing is a significant part of cost. For a Customink fundraiser, costs are covered by the minimum we are required to sell, which is increased with lower pricing and higher color count. We had to find a balance between how many we were pretty sure we could sell and what we thought you’d pay for a t-shirt fundraiser.
But what about my Maury hoodie? It’s hard to get one size logo on all kid’s sizes let alone all kids and adult sizes. So, we put it on the back of the full zip hoodie! It’s available in YXS through adult 5XL. Make sure to scroll to the photo of the back of it to see.
