Hi, my name is Ms. Boyd and I am excited to be a part of the ECE Team at Maury Elementary. I can’t wait to learn about you and your family, but now here are a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Washington, DC, the Southeast District Ward 8; I am also a product of the DCPS system from elementary until graduating from Eastern High School. My education did not stop there. as I obtained my 90-hour childcare certification and my Paraprofessional assessment certification. I am now continuing my education by pursuing a BA degree in Early Childhood Education Administration.
I am extremely proud to say that I have been in the educational field for 24 years as a highly qualified educator. I have worked with children ranging from infants to 13 years of age and I am the owner and director of my very own home daycare facility.
I have a significant other who is an educator at a DC Charter School, two adult daughters 27 & 28 years old and two handsome grandsons 2 & 7 years old.
