Winter Concert TONIGHT!!! (Dec 12)

*** UPDATE 12/12/13 ***

ALL kids perform on a REAL stage tonight @ Eliot-Hine @ 6:30pm

Tonight at 6:30PM please bring your child to Eliot-Hine for the winter concert. They’ve worked hard all semester to share their talent with us. ALL kids participate at every grade level.

They get to perform in a REAL auditorium this year. It’s way cooler than performing in the same place where you eat lunch. It has a REAL stage and friends and family will have REAL seats. We will even be able to hear them sing!

If you need any assistance getting to the concert please email here and we will help you out.

Can you believe it? The Winter Chorus Concert is less than a month away!

Mark your calendars for December 12, folks, because this year the event is going to be unlike any chorus concert you’ve ever seen before!

Come prepared for an evening of singing, dancing, movement, and improvisation. Students have been working hard on adapting poems, reinventing the choreography of your favorite folkdances, and believe it or not…creatively transforming themselves into The Black Forest of Germany? You heard me, this year we are in for a unique treat fit for the stage!

Speaking of stages, the concert will be held at Eliot-Hine Middle School. The Winter Concert Committee needs your help spreading the word. The show begins at 6:30pm and cannot happen to its full potential without student participation.

Plan ahead and coordinate carpools with neighbors. Grab dinner with friends on H. St and mosey on over to 1830 Constitution Avenue Northeast, right behind Eastern High School in time for the performance. No need to come dressed to impress, please send students in their school uniforms.

Students will be moving about the stage and potentially utilizing the floor. If you have any questions about this year’s performance, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Rogers or myself.

We have always had such great parent volunteers to help make the evening show a success and could really use you all again this year. We will need assistance transporting instruments to Eliot-Hine after school that Thursday, bringing instruments back after the show, people to pass out programs and also help keep students focused during the performance.

Please contact Ms. Bomba if you are interested in lending a hand.

I know I’m looking forward to seeing what the students have been up to in chorus this fall.

We’ll see you all at Eliot-Hine on December 12, at 6:30 pm!
