I have taught third grade general education teacher for the past several years and previously I taught Special Education for three years. I graduated from The George Washington University with a BS in Exercise Science and Psychology. I then went on to earn my graduate certificate in Special Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte during my two year in Teach for America. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My favorite part about being a teacher is being able to watch my students get excited about their learning. My mother, grandmother and uncle were all teachers, so I was inspired to do my part to help close the achievement gap in our country. I enjoy hands-on learning, and getting students invested in extensive projects. Ultimately, I want to be able to positively affect as many students as I can.
